- - No groceries arrived; it wasted my time.
The order was canceled in the middle of the order with no warning, so I suggest not shopping here. Stick with Kriger, Publix, or Walmart. Never again will I try this place; what a waste of my time, and still no groceries.
- Have good items
- Too high
Preferred solution: Full refund

Verified Reviewer |Resolved: FALSE ADVERTISING
- - Michelob Ultra 30-pack at $26.99 with a $6 rebate.
- - QR code must be downloaded to reach rebate site.
- - Reps gave incorrect codes; Wisconsin had none.
The store director called me and offered a $25 happy customer gift card. I accepted and thanked him.
Be persistent if the store refuses to help you. If you can't get anywhere with them (or the vendor in my case) file a complaint on the pissed consumer web site.
The QR code had to be downloaded to go to the website for the rebate. First thing they ask for is the promo rebate number. The store doesn't have it I called there 3 times explaining what I needed and they said it was up to Anheuser Busch. I called there the first time the rep said I needed to deal with the store.
Called again and a rep gave me an incorrect rebate code number. Called back AGAIN and the rep told me there were no rebate codes for the State of Wisconsin.
This is false advertising and I'm more angry about being deceived than I am the $6.00. DO NOT SHOP AT THIS STORE!
Preferred solution: Price reduction
User's recommendation: DO NOT SHOP AT THIS STORE THEIR SALE ADS ARE DECEIVING

Verified Reviewer |Zero customer service in store nor with phone calls 877-363-**** and emails
- - Self-check didn't credit $20; receipt wrong.
- - Emailed store; told to return, but can't due to snowstorm/health; audit on Sunday; no callback.
Meijer customer service never resolved my issue after numerous emails. Told me to contact the Meijer store which never resolved my issue either after several calls to them.
I won't be shopping at this store nor any of their other stores due to poor customer service and poor communication. Reported to your site Pissed Consumers.
There is no longer good customer service nor loyalty by these big grocery stores to their customers. They only care about themselves.
after we got home, we noticed the receipt was wrong. we had put in 2 twenty-dollar bills; while inserting cash payment, we did not notice on the screen it did not acknowledge one of the $20 bills inserted. we immediately called the store, but customer service was already closed. we emailed meijer with a copy of the receipt on their site.
we received an email back and were told to go back to the store. i cannot go due to the snowstorm, plus i need someone to drive me due to my health. so i called the store and gave all the info to the customer service lady with my phone. she stated they do an audit on that drawer on Sunday.
on Sunday, i called for an update; they said my message was left for the register audit crew about my $20 issue. i told her i never received a callback from anyone. again, she took my info. i am very upset with this store as i have shopped here since it opened in 2016.
the service just keeps getting worse. on a limited income, i cannot afford to lose $20.
- Sale items never in stock
- Overcharged
- Deli employees never there to service customers
Preferred solution: My money back along with an apology for such back customer service.
User's recommendation: Senior citizens beware triple check your cash receipt before leave store

Trail mix bag purchased on 2/11 had a lot of peanut shells in the bag. Customer service said to go back to the store for a refund or another bag.
I am mostly blind; that is not an option. She said no coupons were available to send. I am very disappointed in your protocol.

- - Water is out of stock online; only expensive options.
- - Other locations have stock issues; liquor delivery not offered; I buy water from Jewels.
I'm a senior citizen. Everytime I want to do a on line order, your brand water is out of stock.
Only the expensive water is available. I try to order from one of your other locations. Out if stock also. Also I noticed you don't deliver liquor anymore.
I like to do on line shopping at your store, but I end up ordering from Jewels.
Just so I can buy water at a reasonable price. Your loosing my business because of this

Question why are your ads from Wednesday to Wednesday? This really screws me up. It’s really stupid
- - The Wednesday-to-Wednesday ad cycle causes missed sales when shopping Tue/Wed/Thu.
- - Ads change midweek, which is frustrating for midweek shopping.
Not happy with your Wednesday to Wednesday ads. I sometimes go on Tuesday Wednesdays or Thursdays for groceries with the ad change on Wednesdays Ive missed sales that I wanted. It is really stupid to do this in the middle of the week!!!

Verified Reviewer |Difficult to save on groceries at Meijer
- - Online coupon system not user friendly.
- - Must access website; no account barcode slows checkout.
- - I refuse to use their app.
The system Meijer uses to provide online coupons is not user friendly. I have to constanly go in and out of the website to access my coupons and perks.
I refuse to add their app to shop for groceries. The lack of an account barcode to scan at checkout is another way Meijer slows me down shopping in thier store.
- Wide aisles
- Fewer store brands
- Difficult to save with coupons
- Lack of staff working in departments
User's recommendation: I have shopped Kroger for decades. Simple ways to save without an app. Much better selection, more store brands by far!

To be precise so far I see I am missing, yet I WAS CHARGED FOR - 2 steaks one was almost $17 and the other close in price.
Then I did not get my Sanders carrot cake and thats about $15, mushrooms, whole coffee beans (I believe &9 or grapefruit which cost me $10!!

I shop most mornings at the meijer in PLAINFIELD, ill and when I go past the fish tanks, I feel so sad for most of them, as they are in dirty water or some are dead
- - The fish tanks at Meijer in Plainfield, IL are often dirty.
- - The fish are often dead and the need for tanks when no one tends to them regularly is questioned.
When passing by the fish tanks in the morning at the meijer in PLAINFIELD, IL,
I feel so sad for the fish. Most often the water is dirty and/ or the fish are dead, which is so sad to see. Is it necessary to have fish tanks when no one tends to the fish on a regular basis
User's recommendation: Sometimes parents or grandparents take children to see the fish & yet some may be dead, not good for Children to see

I was very saddened to see and hear that an 18 year old employee was not only terminated but arrested for taking food that was going to be thrown away. While I understand that there are rules and guidelines I also see this as an opportunity to lend a helping hand.
Im also under the understanding that his supervisor knew he was doing it and allowed it to continue with no warnings just to get to a monetary amount that the employee could be prosecuted? Meijer was s my preferred grocery store and pharmacy. Its like my 2nd home. I am beseeching Meijer to drop all charges as these will taint his life forever.
They never go away. It was FOOD and garbage at that. Please have a heart and change your policies to allow a warning at the very least.
This was a set up and is cold and heartless. Thank you for reading this, if you do.

If they want compassion. They should admit that they are wrong.
Cultivate some compassion. Those of you criticizing seniors do realize if you live long enough one day you'll become a senior citizen.
The author of the post being a senior has no relevance to anything. They are trying to blame the store for their error. They don’t get a free pass.
The automated checkout would NEVER take two bills when one would do. Why on earth would you put TWO 20s in and expect a $20 bill back? And why did it take looking at a receipt at home to make you aware of whatever chaos you claim?
What’s happened to customer service and being loyal to their customers. Why doesn’t Meijer do the cash drawer audit of that self check machine as they stated for this customer per their phone call.
If drawer is over $20 then contact that customer it’s their money. Good customer relations are good business practice.
But why did they put in two $20 bills when they only needed to put one? Something does not make sense here. This person obviously needs an adult shopping with them.
It sounds like the old coots fed a second $20 AFTER their sale was completed (mental lapse). Their second $20 was applied to the next person’s order. The drawer audit would show no overage.
There is no way for the service coordinator or manager to audit the self checkouts. The self checkout software intalled from the NCR corporation doesn't allow it.
All cash has to be counted by the cash office the next business day for the previous day transactions. At that time any registers that are over or short too much, gets all documented by the cash office.
All I can say is wait until this type of situation happens to you at one of these stores.
Explain the situation then. Have you read and answered the other comments?
All I can say is that IF I do something stupid like this, I won't try to the pull the old fool's favorite "I've been a loyal customer for XYZ." As if that means anything to anyone. If pop pop hasn't been estranged from his kids, maybe he needs to have one of the go to the store with him. Also, if you're too stupid to not be able to mind your money, they should not be driving.
Your post makes no sense. If you have a receipt then your purchase only required one twenty dollar bill.
Do you work at Meijer? Did you see those seniors at the self check that day?
If not what do you know about what happened to them at that store. Machines do malfunction at stores all the time.
If they got a receipt, the second twenty was applied to the purchase. Did they leave their change behind?
Nothing malfunctioned if the register detected payment in full and generated a receipt. One doesn’t need to work there or be present to surmise carelessness on OP’s part.
And here we go, a version of "you must work for them" also known as a loser's lament. Listen, these coots think that they world is going to jump for them and bring the alleged $20.00 overpay back to them.
What more than likely happened is that this old bird forgot his change and the next person up took it. This is the "senior's" fault.
At their advanced age, one would think that they would have learned personal responsibility. Clearly not.
The fact that they are ASSuming they work for them shows how childish this person is. They are probably SIX YEARS OLD and need a parent to whip them for lying.
I've seen this happen quite often. I've also seen people walk away leaving their debit cards in the card reader!
Some people will use their debit card and put in their pin code, take the card out and leave not paying attention to the pin pad asking if they want cash back. Then the next person walks up and select $50 cash back from that previous persons card and pocket the money!
OH, GROW UP. You are just another CHILD, ASSuming that because someone tells the customer that they are wrong, that they work for the company.
I can stoop to your level and say that you are defending the customer because you got fired from Meijer, but unlike you, I do not make ASSumptions, I will not stoop to your level. Besides, in order to get fired from Meijer, they would have to hire you in the first place, and since you apper to be six years old with your ASSumptions and terrible English, due to child labor laws, they would not be allowed to hire you legally.
Get an adult to read the post for you kiddo. Nothing malfunctioned, They just put in two bills instead of one.
These automated self check machines at majority of stores that use MMI (Man Machine Interface) are a badly designed software system. As with any machine they are not perfect and prone to malfunction along glitches from time to time.
What’s needed is a complete redesign of software on how these machines are to be used in the real world.
Who’s to say this wasn’t the case with these people. I believe these people were sincere seems all they wanted was for the store to respond to their situation.
