I WORKED AT MEIJER FOR 6 MONTH'S AND AS A LOT OF EMPLOYEE'S, I HAD REASON'S I HAD TO MISS WORK. WELL, THERE GOES THE 12 POINT SYSTEM!!!

I ASKED TO BE HIRED BACK AND ONA RUTH,STORE DIRECTOR, SAID ,"NO", NOW, I SAID I'D GIVE 200% WORK EFFORT, MADE MY AVAILABILITY MORE OPEN AND EVEN APOLOGISED TO THE ONE TEAM LEADER THAT INTERVIEWED ME FOR THE JOB, FOR GETTING ALL MY POINT'S, EVEN THOUGH SOME OF THEM WAS DUE TO DOCTOR'S APPOINTMENT'S I COULDN'T CHANGE TO SUIT MY SCHEDULE AT MEIJER. I ALSO WAS GOING TO APOLOGISE TO THE TEAM LEADER I WORKED UNDER. WELL, ONA RUTH, THE STORE DIRECTOR, AT THE WARSAW, IN. STORE DOESN'T CARE ABOUT"SECOND CHANCES", APPARENTELY!!

CHAD PIPER,TEAM LEADER SAID HE'D CALL ME BACK AFTER HE TALKED TO ONA, HE DIDN'T, I ENDED UP CALLING "HIM" BACK, IT WAS LIKE, THEY DIDN'T CARE ABOUT ME. I LIVE FIVE MINUTE'S FROM THE STORE AND COULD MAKE IT IN IF THEY WERE SHORT OF HELP IN SOME OF THE DEPARTMENT'S. BUT, NO, THEY WON'T GIVE ANYONE A SECOND CHANCE FOR RE-HIRE. HOW UNFAIR!!!

I WENT IN THE STORE LAST WEEK AND ONE OF THE PEOPLE I WORKED WITH SAID THEY HOPED I'D COME BACK BECAUSE THEY NEEDED THE HELP. THERE'S DEPARTMENT'S AT NIGHT THAT HAVE "NO" EMPLOYEE TO COVER THEM SO SOME EMPLOYEE'S HAVE TO COVER THREE AND FOUR AREA'S!! SO, BOTTOM LINE, ONA RUTH, STORE DIRECTOR FOR THE WARSAW,IN.

STORE DOES N-O-T BELIEVE IN BEING FAIR OR S-E-C-O-N-D C-H-A-N-C-E-S !!!!! PAST EMPLOYEE...............CONNIE FULLER WARSAW, IN.

Your life DOES have to pivot around them if you want to keep a job.

weve had people like you before

it doesnt matter what the reason is,

if you constantly miss work with no notice, and take hours from people willing to show up. its a problem.

weve given several people like you second chances, and they fall into the same routine again. im sorry if you are one of the good ones, but its 99% bad ones, and management doesnt like to take chances

This is ridiculous, stop whining like a child. This is the real world where second chances are rarely given and never expected.

Grow up

You are retarded you can't even spell and that's the point of a point system if you can't keep under 12 points then schedule appointments and things better or don't work you are one of the biggest idiotic losers in Warsaw Indiana

I represent former meijer employees in unemployment hearings. I used to work for them and know their policies and systems inside and out. If you need help fighting for your unemployment from meijer contact me at unemployment specialist@outlook.com

If she needed to be out so long, or take so many days off, you can file intermittent FMLA leave! But no pieces of s.hit like this who call in constantly make it difficult on co workers to pick up their dead weight!

Maybe you should of done some research!

What does the BBB have to do with site? If you're going to post, prepare for s.hit storm to come your way!

Your comment is horrible. What kind of person are you?

You can't automatically get FMLA.

Also, if someone is unable to work why would you have to pick up the slack, Meijer should not make you work for 2 people, they should have subs. My goodness, I hope you never get sick.

Mike Brady, shame on you!!! I know Connie Fuller, she quit Meijer, she wasn't fired!

also, if you don't like her "apostrophy's" tough, that's the PROPER way to spell. Her husbnd is a heart patient and NO job is worth leaving your husband home alone with chest pain's!! KUDO'S for Connie!!. If you don't know all the fact's , don't make comment's!!!.

I will leave you with this, there are MANY complaint's about MEIJER, especially in the Warsaw,In. store and on this web site.

Deal with them, Mr perfect. A person's health is far more important than any job!

First of all, the she is using apostrophes to make the words plural. This is NOT proper.

And guess what - I have chest pain all of the time and have had a bypass and somehow I seem to make it to work a majority of the time. If her husband has chest pains so often that it keeps her from making it to work, then there is a deeper problem. EVERYBODY has problems and it is not up to your employer to work around you or your spouse.

But thank you for adding the information that even further discredits your friend. Being sick is one thing, saying you can't make it because someone else has chest pains is quite another.

Oh yeah, and I am sure your friend who WAS anonymous sure appreciates you adding her name!

If you got fired in just six months for going over 12 points, then you'd have gotten fired anywhere else too. Employers need employees who show up to work.

If you got fired for not coming to work, what makes you think it'd be different this time?

People who need a job will show up to work if they are a little sick, leave early when it snows so they get there on time, and schedule appointments on their day off. People who just want a little spending money call off whenever some little thing happens (cough, 2" of snow, playoff game on TV) and then complain when they end up getting fired for missing a day of work every two weeks (which is what you'd have to average to get 12 points in two weeks).

That is horrible attendance, and you absolutely deserved to lose your job and not be welcomed back. If you want to keep a job, take it seriously.

Actually, Meijers point system is as follows: you receive a point for being 2 minutes late. That's a bit harsh.

LouSkunt69

Why don't you get to work loser? There's no reason for scheduling appointments before your schedule was posted...if you used 12 points in 6 months, that means you'll be gone or late 24 times in a year!? The company is correct to part with a pile of s.hit like you!

Sell some apostrophes to get you through the tough times - you seem to have an excess of them.

They consider you unreliable. Deal with it.

Missing too much work is probably the number one reason people get fired. I have worked plenty of jobs that were on a point or occurrences system where you could only miss so much work before they fired you. It is just common sense that you can't keep missing work! You are offering to cover shifts now, but what about when you were an actual employee and didn't go into work?

They counted on you to be there, so who covered your shifts? The Store Director probably could not have re-hired you if she wanted to, as it would have already been report to Corporate HR as to the reason you were let go and your file would have been flagged. Employees who are let go due to missing too much work are not eligible for re-hire.

I suggest you try to file for unemployment and look for another job. It sounds like you may be able to get a decent reference from your supervisor.

I feel the whole issue concerning the Warsaw Meijer has gotten very rotten. you all are getting NASTY snd need to mind your own business before the BBB decides to close down this site.

Enough is enough, work your own jobs , everybody can complain and there is a lot of complainta on this site. So, attack someone else!

MikeBrady

Yeah, and there are a lot of comments. That's what this section is for.

Just wanted to get that in before the BBB closes us down! Ha!

I work for Meijers and I've never seen anything like this point system *** in my life. They think your life has to pivet around them.

I can't believe every employee continues to put up with this. Wonder what would happen if all of them just walked out and left the managers to handle live load,etc..
