I won't be buying any wine at Meijer - no you cannot scan my private drivers license data into your oh so safe computers. I call *** on you.

f off. I will shop elsewhere. I am clearly over 21 and your policy is an invasion of what is left of my privacy - yeah I know my privacy is a joke, but that's my problem and you won't be my problem after today. why do you think you have the right to do that?

what will you do with that data? track more of my shopping? you want my birthdate address and full legal name?

can I sue you when My Identity is stolen when you get hacked? thanks

Reason of review: read it.

Monetary Loss: $100000.

Preferred solution: to see you go out of business.

Age verification is the whole point behind it. Place yourself in the employee's shoes.

They're just doing their job, and could be jailed for selling alcohol to underage people with fake i.d.

Some underage people look way older too. Just don't be paranoid and continue with your purchases.

I came across the same thing from them just the other day to buy a bottle of wine. The girl at the checkout requested my license which I had no problem.

She proceeded to try and scan it which I abruptly stopped her. I stated you can read my date of birth. I proceeded to ask her where my data was going and to who it was going to. Of course she had no idea.

So I canceled my purchase and went to speak to a manager of which was another dead end. How is it that these companies activate policies which they know people will have questions about then have absolutely no idea as to how to answer a concerned shoppers questions.

Day in and day out your hear about companies being hacked and personal data being stolen.
